- Assistant Programs Director
POSITION TITLE: Therapist SITE: Counseling Center
REPORTS TO: Program Manager $18.50 - $22hr (dependent on licensure status)
GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Program Manager , this position will manage the mental health treatment
of the children and families at our Child Development Center (theraputic preschool). Will direct all aspects of clients’ individual, group,
and family therapy, providing information, consultation, advocacy and collaborative treatment planning within the agency and in
cooperation with other agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of Masters level study in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy leading to licensure
as an LCSW or MFT. Must be a California Registered Intern or a licensed MFT or LCSW. Experience working with families and
children birth to six.
Strong verbal and written communication and advocacy
skills; Knowledge of HHSA Children’s Services and of child abuse recovery process. Must have ambulatory, auditory, and
visual skills to observe and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills, including but not limited to crouching,
lifting 35 pounds and walking up and down stairs.
POSITION: Assistant Programs Director SITE: Family Services Center
REPORTS TO: Director of Programs
GENERAL FUNCTION: Management and oversight of the daily operations of Family Visitation, Child Development Center,
New Directions Program, Children’s Shelter and Counseling Depts.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited university with a Masters Degree in behavioral science or public administration
and a minimum of 3-5 years experience in Child Welfare Services programs and/or social service administration. A minimum
of five years managing/supervising staff required. Licensed LCSW or MFT a plus.
Experience with foster care programming, child development, birth to 5 age group, transitional aged youth, residential group
homes and therapy/counseling services preferred. Knowledge of the legal and financial responsibilities of a non-profit
corporation, government contracts, licensing regulations of childcare and County HHSA agencies required. Strong interpersonal
skills, written and oral communication skills, an understanding of basic accounting procedures, skills in interviewing, hiring,
and evaluation of employee performance are required. Strong organizational abilities including personnel management, planning,
delegating, budgeting, program development and facilitation is required.

Must have a clear DMV record and be approved by insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles. |
