POSITION TITLE: Supervised Visitation Aide SITE: Family Visitation Center REPORTS TO: Supervised Visitation Coordinator FT Position Tues - Sat GENERAL FUNCTION: Provides education, support, behavioral intervention and transportation with children and families involved in the Supervised Visitation Program. Promotes the needs of the child and family while supporting the physical safety and well-being of children 0-17 years who are in the reunification process through the Courts and San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, Children’s Services. QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess maturity, good judgment and the ability to work independently. Must be a positive role model for children 0-17 and their families. Must exhibit conflict resolution and prevention skills. Experience in child and family social services and a BA in human science field required. Must be professional with the ability to effectively set limits and function in a crisis-oriented situation. Must be proficient in English and have clear written and verbal communication skills, bi lingual and bi cultural preferred. Must have ambulatory, auditory, and visual skills to observe and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills, including, but not limited to crouching, lifting 50 pounds, crawling on hands and knees, and walking up and down stairs. CPR/Pediatric 1st Aid Certificate is required. Must provide clear DMV report, have a car and insurance, and be approved by our insurance carrier to drive our company vehicles. Must pass a pre employment drug screen, health exam, TB test, background check, etc., as required for the position. MAJOR TASKS:
