Military Support Program

In 2008, Casa de Amparo established a Military Support Program at the Hayward Child Development Center in Oceanside, designed to help military families facing physical, emotional and financial hardship due to injuries suffered during the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. The program provides specialized counseling support, advocacy, parent enrichment education and preschool for military children and families.

Services

  • Free child care and preschool
  • Free play therapy and family therapy
  • Free parent enrichment Groups

Eligibility

  • Must currently be serving in the military
  • Must need child care for a child or children ages 18 months to 5 years old
  • Must be willing to participate in counseling and parenting group twice a month
