San Diego County reports that two of every 1,000 children enter foster care as survivors of child abuse and neglect. 

Casa de Amparo delivers foster and transitional age youth services through two primary programs, Residential Services and New Directions. Both programs provide evidence-based mental and behavioral healthcare focused on trauma recovery and include trauma-informed supplementary programming and therapeutic activities intended to enhance wraparound services that empower children and young adults heal from abuse and neglect experiences and thrive as they transition out of the foster care system into independent living.
