Oceanside, California (December 8, 2009) – Members of the community are invited to help brighten the holidays for abused and neglected children by contributing a gift to Casa de Amparo’s “Adopt a Casa Kids” holiday gift program.

Casa de Amparo has been treating and preventing child abuse in San Diego County for over 30 years. The holiday gift program provides gifts to children in the organization’s Child Development Center (ages 18 mo. to 5 years), Children’s Shelter (ages 6-17) and New Directions Transitional Housing & Support Program for youths 18-24.

Gift-givers will receive the name, age, gender and a brief wish list for a Casa Kid. Groups are welcome to participate as well.Gifts should be unwrapped and include a note with the adopted child’s name. Gifts may be dropped off at Casa de Amparo’s holiday storefront 4-8 p.m. weekdays from December 8th through the 16th.
